★★★★★“We had such a lovely evening here ✨ The food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of tapas and everything was so tasty. Everyone at the table loved it. The pornstar martinis were delicious too, and our server Otto made the whole night even better. He was so funny, super attentive, and gave us great service. He even brought us a free shot of tequila, which was such a nice touch. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has such a nice atmosphere. We sat on the terrace and it felt like the perfect Spanish summer evening. Would definitely recommend 🍸”
★★★★★“Both tapas and cocktails were delicious! The atmosphere was also nice with guitar music and hospitable waiters (shoutout to Otto! 💫) who loved to crack jokes and keep you entertained. 😊 I recommend.”
★★★★★“We chose La Fábrica because of its impressive 4.7 Google rating and its attractive location. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. When we arrived, we were told that there were no outdoor tables available, but that we could sit inside, order drinks and food, and then be moved outside as soon as a table became free. We accepted this arrangement and were reassured more than once that it would still happen even if our food had already arrived. During the next 20 minutes we saw outdoor tables become available and other customers seated outside. After we had politely asked about the arrangement we had been promised, a different waiter arrived at our table to inform us that moving us outside was not possible because we had ordered while seated indoors. The issue was not the misunderstanding itself. Mistakes happen. Had someone simply apologised and explained that there had been a mix-up, we would have accepted that. Instead, we were met with an aggressive and argumentative response. We were repeatedly told about “the system”, interrupted when trying to explain what had been agreed, and made to feel as though we were being unreasonable for expecting the restaurant to honour an arrangement proposed by its own staff. The waiter blamed a colleague because he was new, accused us of being rude, and later suggested that asking for his name for our review amounted to “menacing” him with a bad review. We were eventually moved outside, whereupon Otto felt it appropriate to restart the discussion in front of other diners. My partner had to tell him to leave us alone so that we could finish our meal without being lectured. The atmosphere became deeply uncomfortable and embarrassing. Afterwards, Otto pointedly ignored our table whilst making conspicuous efforts to engage with surrounding tables. When we asked for the bill, we were abruptly told, “Go inside if you want to pay.” The square is lovely, but that is not enough to rescue an evening that was completely overshadowed by the way we were treated. The food was ordinary and overpriced at €49.10 for tapas for two before drinks, but that is not the reason for this review. What ruined the evening was being spoken to in a way that I have never previously experienced in a restaurant. I have never encountered hospitality staff who were so defensive, dismissive and confrontational towards customers raising a perfectly reasonable concern. To be fair, when I paid the bill another member of staff listened patiently to our complaint, apologised and removed the cost of two drinks as a gesture of goodwill. That was appreciated. However, the damage had already been done. This was the rudest and most unpleasant hospitality experience we have ever encountered. Based on our experience, we would not return.”
★★★★★“We discovered this place after reading some great online reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant offers lovely views over the square, but since it was quite busy, we opted to sit inside—and we’re glad we did. The atmosphere indoors was just as enjoyable and inviting. The food was excellent, and the service really stood out. Our waiter, Victor, was attentive and friendly, offering fantastic recommendations not only for the menu but also for things to do during our visit to Alicante. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that we’d happily recommend.”
